To speak of experience

This is one of the few texts that will not be about an experience that I had with customer service, products or services. It is an something that I thought about before starting writing all these texts. It is however what makes the difference among many other documents available out there.

During my MBA studies I had the opportunity to attend some lectures given by a professional consultant on the subject of advertising, online marketing and commerce. He is a guy with really good communication skills and he appears regularly on the television. It was during my studies that ChatGPT became available to the public and we had great discussions about the potential applications, especially in marketing. We see for example ChatGPT contributing to copyrighting or trying to elevate the online presence of companies. This lecturer however brought something different to our attention. When somebody from the audience suggested that there will be no need to create market studies or write articles and books, the lecturer highlighted his own work, a book on sales available in the local bookstores and online. “The difference” he said, “between myself and an AI algorithm that follows a prompt to write a certain book, is that I have experience on the topic, while the algorithm can work only on what other people said. The algorithm cannot get my experience, until I share it.”

This is one of the things that motivated me to write all these stories. It is the fact that I have something to share, that even the best available AI will never get to acquire firsthand.
